July Playlist

I absolutely love music. It might be because I have zero musical talent or I hate silence. Either way, I find music therapeutic. Anyone else find it neat that you can find music to fit just about whatever mood you are in? Spotify is one of my favorite places to access music because you can make your own playlist, access playlists based on what you are doing, and share music with your friends. In the summer, I pretty much always have music playing (while I'm driving, at the gym, cooking, cleaning, blogging, etc.). The only time I am not listening to music is when I am reading.  It's been awhile since I have share a playlist with y'all, so I felt like this week was the perfect time.  In a couple of weeks Todd and I will be road tripping down South, so I'm gearing up by starting a long playlist. Below are some of the songs on my summer playlist.

September 2017 Playlist

We are closer to mid September than I realized. Time is truly flying by.  The past few weeks I have been spending up to two hours a day in my car thanks to my commute to work.  Back in early August I was officially hired to teach middle school Language Arts at a fabulous school district.  The school I work at is about 50 minutes away from my house without traffic.  After a little bit of thought, I decided to suck it up and make the drive twice a day.  I thought it would better to stay at home with my parents for another year until I can bank enough money to purchase a house.  Plus I only have a one year contract, so I want to be positive that I'm staying there before I commit to up and moving. You're probably catching my drift by now, but I spend a lot of time in my car.  One of the essentials to a successful commute is a great playlist. I absolutely despise radio commercials, so you can usually find me scanning through the Sirius Radio stations or listening to my newest playlist on Spotify.

July '17 Playlist

There's nothing quite like a good playlist to help you write the soundtrack to your summer.  During the summer, I feel like I am constantly listening to music. I seem to always have something playing whether I'm running, cleaning, getting ready for my day, driving, cooking, or just hanging out. I have been listening to a wide variety of music, and this playlist definitely reflects that.

March '17 Playlist

It's time to jam out in March. I've definitely been playing Ed Sheeran's new album on repeat lately. You can find some of his new songs on this month's playlist. This is the perfect playlist to put on while you're conquering that never ending to do list or driving around.

Road Trip Tunes

It may be August, but there is still time to squeeze in some last minute fun before the summer comes to a close. This week I'm away with my family. Since our trip involves a ton of time in the car, I decided to make a playlist to make the time go a little bit faster.  Nothing completes a roadtrip quite like the perfect music. Mellow Morning Playlist

As I've shared with y'all in previous posts, I definitely am the most productive in the morning. When I wake up I feel refreshed, inspired, and ready to go.  I don't like to work in silence. I prefer to have a small amount of background noise.  When I'm working on blog posts I like to listen to mellow music to help get my creativity flowing.  This music is upbeat but not too much for the early mornings of the day. This playlist has been my go to for studying for my Praxis exams, getting ready, eating breakfast, and making my daily to do lists.

Summer Concert Attire

We all know that summer is usually filled with concerts. Whether they're local ones in the park or big time artists,I never know what to wear.  It is difficult to find the perfect concert outfit. Depending on the concert the attire changes too! I'm not a crop top and ripped jean shorts kind of girl, so today I am here to share with you some of my recommendations for concert attire. I prefer to be cute and comfortable for concerts. These two outfits provides both of those qualities and can be worn for many different types of concerts.

Tuesday Tunes

Last week while I was studying, I decided to try out Spotify.  I've heard of it before but I had never actually used it. I know it has been around for quite some time, but I've always just used Pandora. Let me tell you downloading Spotify is definitely not something I regret. I like how it allows you to listen to whatever song you want whenever you want.

Friday Five: Songs from freshman year

Happy Friday! It's the weekend!  Today is my move out day.  Bittersweet.

This week's Friday Five are the top five songs that remind me of my freshman year of college.  These are kinda random, but when I think freshman year these are the ones that stick out most.

1. This song came on all the time, no matter where I was.

2. My team was obsessed with this song.  It played in the locker room literally all the time.  Needless to say, I then played it in my room all the time

3. jHg are all about Ke$ha.  Her new album is really catchy.  This song is just a good pump up song.

4. This was another song my team listened to all the time.  It was played in the locker room, on the bus, and on our warm up CD too.  I heard it all the time this year.

5. Taylor Swift's new album came out in the Fall of my freshman year.  I remember standing in the training room the first day I was here, and this song was playing in the background while we went through our physicals.

Shore Life Playlist No. 2

The warm weather I have long been waiting for is finally here.  Right now it is 89 degrees outside, and I am loving it!  You better believe I have been spending as much time possible outside.  This weather makes me want to get in the car and take a drive to the beach.  To bad I don't have a car here at school to do that and the beach is like two hours away, minor details right.  I don't know about you but I love driving in this weather with the windows down with my music turned up.   I decided to make a play list of what I would listen to if I could take a car ride to the beach right now.
