Snow Day Snack Time

Happy Thursday.  Surprise- today is my sixth snow day of the Spring semester! Last night we got a foot or so of snow. Although I have tons of school work to catch up on, I've spent the first half of my day doing things that make me happy.  I woke up and got a solid workout in, drank some tea, ate some brunch, and then baked a tasty treat- which leads me to the topic of today's post.

This morning when I was looking through Pinterest, I came across a recipe for French Toast Roll Ups.  The picture looked so enticing, but I wasn't a huge fan of the recipe, so I decided to create my own rendition.

Strawberry and Nutella Crescents

Total Time: 35 minutes
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Makes 8 servings

Ingredients:
Nutella
8-10 Strawberries
Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
Sugar
Cinnamon

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375.

One: Rinse strawberries and cut them into small bite-size pieces

Two: Unroll the crescents so that you have 8 triangles.

Three: Place a spoonful of Nutella at the thick end of the triangular shaped crescent.

Four: Place strawberries on top of the Nutella.
Use a generous amount of strawberries, but not too
many so that you are able to roll the crescent without
the contents spilling out.

Five: Roll the crescent up carefully so that the Nutella and Strawberries do not leak out the sides.

Six: In a small bowl mix some cinnamon and sugar.

Seven; Place the roll up in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Coat the crescent completely, on all sides.

Eight: Place the roll up on a tray

Nine: Repeat steps 1-8 until all 8 crescent rolls are complete.

Ten: Bake in the oven for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown.

Eleven: Let cool for 5-10 minutes before enjoying!

Happy

Looking for something to make you smile.  You can be Happy for 24 hours straight.  Pharrell William's current hit "Happy" has a music video that lasts 24 hours.  The song plays on repeat for 24 hours, but it has all different locations and different people dancing. I thought it was a really unique concept worth sharing with all of you.

You can view the video by following the link here
You can also view specific hours of the video on youtube

Enjoy!

Estee Lauder + Lilly Pulitzer

Today is Snow Day number 4, of the semester, for me.  Late last night, wee got a wintry mix  that turned into a freezing rain.  Everything is iced over and lots of tree branches are down on the roads, so the University and all of the surrounding school districts are closed.  Many people in my surrounding area do not have power because of the heavy snow, from the other day, and the ice that are both weighing down all of the power lines.  Luckily, my home has power, heat, and lots of food so I am all set for the day.  These snow days have been great for me for blogging!
What better way to brighten up this dreary day with a post about Lilly Pulitzer items!

Lilly Pulitzer and Estee Lauder are teaming up again this Spring, for the second year in a row! Seven different major stores will have their own print cosmetic bag filled with a variety of Estee Lauder goodies.  The prints are all available at different dates throughout the course of the next two months.  You have to purchase a qualifying Estee Lauder item to get this cosmetic bag.

These cosmetic bags were inspired by the Palm Beach Life style, according to The Juice Stand blog. They would be perfect for any Spring Breakers looking for an adorable cosmetic bag.

February 3: Love Bites pattern Cosmetic bag is available at esteelauder.com .

February 9: Pucker Up print cosmetic bad is available at Dillard's

March 4: Poppy Passion print cosmetic bag will be available at Macy's

March 31: All Dolled Up print cosmetic bag will be available at Belk.

April 2: Island Breeze print cosmetic bag will be available at Bloomingdales.

April 8: A Twist print will be available at Bon Ton

April 14: Firecracker print cosmetic bag will be available at Nordstrom.

I think all of these prints are so cute and fun.  The one at Bon Ton is my absolute favorite!
Which print do you like best?

Birthday Wish List

A girl can dream right- that's what a "wish list" is for.
You can check out mine on pinterest.
These are ten of the things currently on my wish list.
Conveniently, my birthday is exactly one week from today.

I love candles and the candle I have in my room has just burned downed to nothing.
Anthropologie has some of the best smelling candles.

This bracelet from Etsy is just adorable.
Plus it is only $9.

This coat is from LL Bean. It was on my Christmas wish list, but it was sold out so I never got it.
However, it is back in stock! It comes in tan, cranberry, and green- I can't decide which color I like best.

This bow is only $6.50. I think it would be so cute to wear in my hair!
They come in a variety of Lilly prints, I wouldn't be disappointed in any print I were to receive.

This is also an item that was on my Christmas wish list, but they too were sold out.
In fact they are still sold out in my size until April.

I am obsessed with monograms, and I love running shorts.
Therefore it doesn't get any better than this combination.
They are only $28 on Etsy.

I really like the Lilly monogram on this.
It is also from Etsy and sells from $39.

Or anything else ADPi.
A sorority woman can never have enough apparel.

Tortoise Ray- Ban Wayfarer classics- $130

Season 5 and Season 6 are all I need to complete my collection!

Monday Snow Day

Happy Monday!
It really is a happy Monday for me.  I have another day off from classes today.  We got hit with another snow storm early this morning, so the university I attend is closed for the day.  Today is my third snow day, off from school, this semester...this is only the third week of the semester.
No complaints from this college student!

Riley is not a fan of the snow today.
To keep him warm, we broke out his winter coat.

I've only had two weeks of classes and I am already feeling overwhelmed.  Between 6 classes, 2 labs, being an officer in my sorority, and coaching I hardly have a minute of free time.  The start of the semester has been really busy for me, so I am using today to catch up and gain back control over my life: organizing the dates of everything (in my agenda), studying, writing a few blog posts, and possibly a little bit of Netflix watching too.

Enjoy your Monday!
