Advice From College Graduates

From time to time my Dad will text me a news article, a you tube video to watch, a funny picture, an inspirational quote, etc.  This morning he sent me a really great article titled "50 Things I wish I knew in College".  I thoroughly enjoyed reading this.  It is nothing earth-shattering, but as a college student each of these 50 things provided me with some perspective on life as a college student.

I think I can speak for a lot of college students when I say that we tend to get caught up in things: getting good grades, running for an officer position in your club, problems with friends, struggling financially to live "on our own", trying to stay healthy, making the right choices, and trying our best to make the decisions that will help our future.

This article touches on all of these things from the post-grad's perspective.  If you are feeling unsure of things, reading this might help you out.

I found #50 to be really interesting.  Not many people say this, so I enjoyed the fact that someone addressed the fact that after graduation life isn't all doom and gloom.

What tips do you have as college students or college graduates?

  1. Love this! I definitely agree with the idea of taking classes that interest you even if they don't necessarily fall into your major.
